Kinda wet outside - Time to hit the pool and track!
It appears that November is finally living up to it's wet, wintery normal self. Which I actually really like. The rain has started, and the rain gear is making its way to the front of my closet. There was a OYO (on your own) workout scheduled this morning, but we had the privilege of having our strength coach lead a motley faction of the Ironteam through a swim, run, and strength session.
As I was rippin' away on my PRS last night at band rehearsal, I wondered if I would make it to the pool at 7AM. But it hit me- I am Iron- of course I will be there! I didn't get home too late; in fact, our coach was out til 1AM watching a Bad Religion show in the city! So I really had no excuse.
We took over a little pool in Berkeley and commenced our swim drills. The rain started to come down a little harder, which was of no consequence to us. After we got out and hustled into the locker room, I realized that I left my towel at home! Hell, it was raining outside anyway, so I just threw on my running gear and headed out.

We got to the muddy little track and started running. Every lap and a half or so, our coach gave us strength exercises to do. The menu consisted of reverse lunges, toe touches, walking lunges, jump squats, jump knee-ups, and side bends. A cool down lap and stretching session concluded our workout. Done by 9:30AM! Bring on the day.
Since it's still early in the season, I really enjoyed bonding with this morning's group. Everyone was in good spirits and displayed their will to work hard to reach their Iron goal. We've got a long way to go, but we are on the right track!
