SF GIANTS - World Champs!

Baseball in November? Yes indeed, and for the first time ever, the Giants were up 3-1 in the World Series. I got to my cousin's house at the bottom of the 4th and proceeded to chow down on wings and carnitas tacos. We have been waiting for this moment for a long time. Things were just going the Giants' way, and I had a feeling that something good was going to happen tonight.

The score remained nil for both teams up until the 7th inning, which facilitated my frequent trips to the kitchen for more food. We had two men on base as I came back with another full plate. Then *CRACK* Edgar Renteria hit a homer that put 3 runs on the board! I almost lost my donut hole! The house was going crazy! I was enjoying this moment with all of the people that I have enjoyed Giants games with since the 70's; my dad, uncles, and cousins. The game continued until Brian Wilson struck out Nelson Cruz with a full count. We were all on our feet, and jumped all over the place, shaking the wooden floors and rattling all the furniture in the place. The drought was over! The Giants did the unthinkable- they won the World Series!

The parade was slated for the following Wednesday, and I had every intention to be there. So did everyone in the house, and about a million other people. I got to Market and 6th St. early enough to secure a spot right up on the parade barrier. My family showed up and joined me, and the parade commenced on time. Here is the video that I took:
