M Dot

Only 10 more weeks before I tackle Ironman Coeur d'Alene. Oh man it's coming up real soon. Despite a few major drawbacks this training year, I feel in pretty good shape, and will definitely be able to put in a good showing out there. I'll have plenty of motivation - the memory of my father, and the arrival of my little one.

During training, to this date, I have completed sprint, olympic, and half-iron distance triathlons. Next up is 3/4 distance at the end of May. After that I will continue on and begin my taper. I am really excited to be participating in an M-Dot event. Not a 70.3 or 5150 but a real Ironman 140.6 triathlon. Not to take away from any of the other distances, but marketing those as Ironman dilutes the magnitude of the full distance standard. But hey, Iroman Inc. has to make money somehow so it doesn't really how we feel about it. But please, no M-dot 5150 tattoos!
